The first fruits from our lab are now available online: a review we wrote about the ADP-ribosylhydrolases MACROD1, MACROD2 and TARG1. This was a nice collaborative effort with Dr. Chris Cooper at the University of Huddersfield. We wrote this review, as we felt that a number of studies addressing these proteins rely on antibodies which are not available anymore or poorly characterised, as well as some overexpression methods that may not be suitable. We are hoping to have summarised the currently available data on these intriguing proteins in a way to enable a quick overview into their potential function in carcinogenesis.
The second publication which appeared online a few days ago, finally summarises some results from Karla and Roko’s work as postdocs in Oxford, as well as contains some new data produced here in Aachen. This work aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the expression, localisation and interactive of MACROD1, MACROD2 and TARG1. We hope this provides the field with an excellent foundation for further work into the physiological function of these enzymes.
Unfortunately we can’t celebrate with our lab at the moment due to SARS-CoV-2, but once we are able to do so we will share some photo’s here!
